The Central Plains Oilers used another dominating defensive performance on Saturday in beating Solomon, 52-6. The Oilers held Solomon to minus-23 yards on 24 plays. For the season, Central Plains allowed 34 total points.

8M-II: Atkins helps Hanover win third straight title
Hanover built a 20-point halftime lead and held off Osborne, 58-50, to win their third straight eight-man state title. The 108 combined points set a record for the highest combined output in eight-man state history.

Central Plains, Solomon will decide 8-Man, Div. 1 title
Solomon (11-1) will make the first state title game appearance in school history when the Gorillas take on unbeaten Central Plains (12-0) on Saturday in Newton. Central Plains has given up only 28 points all season.
