Kpreps comment: Perez helped the Blujays to an 8-2 record and a spot in the Eight-Man, Division-II playoffs. He was crucial in a St. John’s-Tipton offense that averaged 36 points per game. Perez rushed for 700 yards and eight touchdowns, while hauling in 30 receptions for 500 yards and nine scores. On defense, Eriq registered 65 tackles and a pair of interceptions. He earned first-team Kpreps All-District honors as a wide receiver, defensive back, and return specialists last fall after being an honorable mention All-District selection as a junior in 2011.
