Ryan Cedeno, QB, St. Mary’s Colgan (Schremmer)
Colgan quarterback Ryan Cedeno has been effective as a passer and a rusher this season. The senior has completed 50 of 87 passes for 963 yards and 12 touchdowns with no interceptions. Cedeno has rushed for 216 yards and six touchdowns on 86 attempts. He passed for 370 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-40 loss to Columbus, and he ran for 148 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 win over Frontenac. Another big effort from Cedeno at Humboldt this week could clinch the Panthers a playoff spot.
Joey Dolan, QB, Blue Valley North (Gilmore)
Senior quarterback Joey Dolan (6-2, 175) is a big reason the Mustangs are 6-1; equaling their most wins since 2006. Dolan has completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,882 yards and 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions on the season. He has thrown for more than 300 yards and five touchdown passes in each of his last two games. Last season, Dolan passed for 2,007 yards and 16 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. Dolan and the Mustangs can likely clinch a playoff spot with a win over Shawnee Mission Northwest in their final home game on Friday. Last season against the Cougars, Dolan passed for a career-high 454 yards and three touchdowns in Blue Valley North’s 45-35 win.
Harley Hazlett, QB, Abilene (Baetz)
The 6-foot-4 Hazlett has developed into one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the state. In a Week 6 win over Clay Center, the senior tallied over 325 yards of total offense, rushing for 182 yards and passing for 144. In a key district win last week over McPherson he ran for a 61-yard touchdown and also plucked a 28-yard touchdown pass from the outstretched arms of a Bullpup defender on a halfback throwback pass from Ryan Wilson. Hazlett will look to get the Cowboys into the playoffs with a win over Hays Friday night.
Macoy Rains, RB, Oakley (Nicholl)
Rains rushed 18 times for 102 yards and made a great catch on a 24-yard touchdown pass for a score in last week's 19-14 road win versus Ellis. Rains was responsible for all three Plainsmen scores, including two rushing. Oakley likes to run the ball, and Rains will need another big game in Friday's critical Class 2-1A home district contest versus Plainville to outscore the Cardinals’ high-octane offense.
A.J. Totta, RB, Blue Valley (Clisso)
Totta is nearing 1,000 yards rushing this season after a big performance in the Tigers’ district operner. The senior carried 28 times for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Blue Valley topped Gardner-Edgerton, 35-7. Look for Totta to have another big performance on Friday night as the Tigers face an Olathe South team that has given up 51 points per game in the last three weeks.
Harry Trotter, RB, Maur Hill-Mount Academy (Kuplen)
Trotter (5-10, 190) has been a key component in the resurgence of Maur Hill football. The Ravens had not posted a winning record since 2004 before last season’s 7-3 mark. This year Maur Hill is 5-1 and Trotter is a big reason why. The senior has 1,179 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns in just six games. In last week’s 62-20 win over Atchison County, Trotter carried 22 times for 425 yards and four touchdowns. He is nearing 2,500 rushing yards for his career and will need a big game on Friday if the Raves are to beat a Pleasant Ridge team that has won six consecutive games.

Chase Crawford, LB, Valley Center – Crawford registered 16 tackles and blocked a field goal, but the Hornets fell 35-16 to Maize South. (Schremmer –32 pts)
Korie Frausto, QB, Maize South – Frausto rushed for 203 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries as the Mavericks beat Valley Center, 35-16. Korie also completed 8 of 14 passes for 54 yards and a touchdown pass to Jordan Maxson. (Baetz – 49 pts)
Hayden Friend, QB, Plainville – Friend rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns and completed 6 of 7 passes for 165 yards and two more scores in the Cardinals’ 66-21 win over Leoti-Wichita County. (Nicholl – 65 pts)
Logan Koch, QB, Mill Valley – Koch completed 20 of 26 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns as the Jaguars beat then No. 5 St. James Academy, 45-14. Koch also rushed for 71 yards on 16 carries in the game. (Clisso –52 pts)
Lane Peters, RB, Pike Valley – Peters rushed 15 times for 38 yards and caught a 36-yard pass, but the Panthers were shut out 22-0 at Axtell. (Kuplen – 6 pts)
Wichita Northwest Offensive Line – The Northwest offensive line cleared the way for 590 yards of total offense and seven offensive touchdowns in the Grizzlies’ 52-33 win at Dodge City. Northwest rushed for 305 yards in the game and passed for 285 more yards. The Grizzlies averaged 8.2 yards per play on their 72 plays. (Gilmore –32 pts)

2015 Picks to Click
- The objective will be to have the most cumulative points over the course of the season.
- Participants may select a quarterback, running back, WR/TE, offensive line or a defensive player each week.
- Everyone must pick a WR/TE, offensive line and defensive player at least once.
- Points will be rewarded only for the player's offensive or defensive stats, depending on how you designate the player that week. For instance, if you pick a running back then you will not receive any of his points for defense.
Scoring system
QBs/RBs/WRs/TEs
- 1 point for every 10 yards passing, rushing or receiving from a quarterback, running back or wide receiver
- 6 points for every passing, rushing or receiving touchdown
Offensive line
- 1 point for every 50 yards gained as an offense
- 3 points for every offensive touchdown
Defensive player
- 2 points for every tackle, TFL, sack
- 4 points for every INT or fumble recovery
