Kpreps.com is proud to announce that Don Austin has been awarded the Grand Prize for the 2013 Friday Night Photo Contest.
His winning photo captures Olathe East’s Braxton Love awaiting the Shawnee Mission East offense to break huddle. The Hawks fell 20-13 to the Lancers in the state quarterfinals.
"This was another very successful year for the Friday Night Photo Contest. The quality of photos we have received this year has been outstanding and we are proud to be able to showcase these on a weekly basis." said Kpreps Editor Matt Gilmore.
"This year was especially difficult to select a winner and there were multiple photographers who were worthy of the grand prize", said Kpreps Managing Partner Andy Wachter. "Ultimately our selection committee felt that Mr. Austin's photo captured a unique perspective of the typical Friday night atmosphere. The subject matter, framing, and focus is extemely cool."
Austin wins $500 cash for his winning photograph. Also, all weekly winners this year will receive a Kpreps black hooded sweatshirt as a consolation prize.
