Mpix, Kpreps.com, and Kansas Pregame are proud to announce that David Jackson of Caney has been awarded the Grand Prize for the 2012 Mpix Photo Contest.
"This was the third year for the Mpix Photo Contest and we continue to be amazed by the quality of photos that we receive on a weekly basis," said Kpreps Editor Matt Gilmore.
"Our site regularly features photographs sent to us from around the state and we are grateful for everyone that has participated in the contest this year. The selection of a winner was difficult as we had numerous images that we felt were worthy of the grand prize."
Jackson, who had two photos win the weekly award, wins $150 cash and a framed print from Mpix. The photo will also be featured in the 2013 publication of Kansas Pregame.
In Jackson's winning photograph, Udall freshman Alex Perez attempts to haul in a pass during a 68-60, double overtime win at Sedan. Perez caught nine passes for 206 yards and four touchdowns in the game.
