Baileyville B&B won their third state football championship in the past five seasons with a 28-6 over Thunder Ridge.

The Falcons used a dominating defense and controlled both lines of scrimmage throughout the game.

After a Thunder Ridge three-and-out, Baileyville got on the board first with a Dustin Deters 1-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Dustin Rottinghaus added the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.

The B&B defense flexed again stopping the Longhorns, and Brendon Bergman scored from 6-yards out shortly after to put the Falcons up 16-0.

The lead grew to 22-0 by halftime after Tyler Deters hauled in a touchdown pass from Rottinghaus.

After a scoreless third quarter, Rottinghaus sneaked in from a yard out to put the game away.

Thunder Ridge added a touchdown mid-way through the fourth quarter as Garrett Krueger hit Trevor Lowe on a 20-yard touchdown pass. The B&B defender deflected the ball in the air, it was then tipped by Lowe and hauled in for the score.

It was the Falcons fifth consecutive appearance in an 8-Man state championship game.
