Championship
- Wichita South 47, Maize 35 - The Wichita South Titans earned back-to-back state championships after a 47-35 win over the Maize Eagles. Ericka Mattingly led the Titans with 14 points, while Eledria Franklin dropped 13 points and Kyla Callins chipped in 11 points. Daley Handy had 15 for the Eagles. The Titans finish the season 24-1 and will look to three-peat next season as they return a significant number of underclassmen.

- Olathe South 56, Manhattan 53 - The Olathe South Falcons brought home third-place trophy at the 6A state tournament by defeating Manhattan, 56-53 on Saturday afternoon. Kyle Kopatich led all scorers with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting and dished out four assists. Bailey Rinehart had 15 points and shot 3-for-5 from behind-the-arc. Manhattan was led by Caroline Ballard with 16 points.

- Blue Valley Northwest 73, Blue Valley North 46 - Clayton Custer led the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies with 25 points and to back-to-back 6A state championships as the Huskies beat Blue Valley North 73-46 on Saturday night. Ben Richardson added 13 points and Vince Fritz had 11 points. The Huskies ended the season with a 23-2 record and won every game in the state tournament by 19 points or more.

- Wichita East 65, Maize 60 – Wichita East scrapped out a 65-60 win over the Maize Eagles to take home third-place in the boys' 6A state tournament. The Blue Aces had three players that scored in double figures led by Tyas Martin with 21 points. Zach Jackson and Xavier Kelly scored 14 points and 12 points, respectively. Jacob Horsch of Maize also had 21 points and was 5-of-6 from three-point range.

- Leavenworth 64, Salina Central 53 – Leavenworth raced out to an early double-digit lead, but the Lady Pioneers found themselves behind by a single point at the half thanks to an 18-9 second quarter by Salina Central. Leavenworth then outscored the Mustangs 44-32 in the second half to claim the 5A title. Tyler Johnson, a 6-foot-2 junior, led the Lady Pioneers with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Emma Zeck and LaToshia Jones also reached double digits for Leavenworth with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Emily Wood led three Lady Mustangs in double figures with 16.

- Kapaun Mt. Carmel 58, Great Bend 49 – Kapaun used a 21-9 first quarter to take control and held off Great Bend 58-49 to claim third place. The Lady Crusaders connected on seven three-pointers, including three by Sam Bachrodt among her 18 points. Sydney Kuhn added 16 points for the Crusaders, who finished 22-3. Great Bend finished 21-4 with losses to state qualifiers Kapaun, Salina Central, Wichita South, and Riley County.

- Lansing 48, Topeka Highland Park 27 - The Lansing Lions completed an undefeated season with a dominating defensive performance against Highland Park on Saturday. The Lions held the Scots to just ten second-half points and only 25 percent shooting for the game. Khalil Bailey registered a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Lansing. Joe Schneider added 10 points for the Lions. Jahmal McMurray led Highland Park with nine points.

- Wichita Heights 51, Hays 49 – Wichita Heights held off Hays in the fourth quarter to claim third place. The Falcons led 40-32 after three quarters and held on as the Indians’ final shot missed the mark. Semaj Hervey continued a strong state tournament performance with 11 points, while Jordan Wilbeck added 10. Hays, which hit nine three-point shots on the afternoon, was led by Jordan Windholz who scored 19.

- Bishop Miege 57, Wamego 41 – Bishop Miege claimed the school’s 17th state championship in girls basketball by knocking off previously-unbeaten Wamego, 57-41. The Lady Stags jumped out to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Shelbe Piggie once again led Miege in scoring 15 points, while Lexie Villegas also scored 15. Piggie, just a sophomore, scored 55 points in the Lady Stags’ three tournament games. Wamego’s duo of Kaylee Paige and Lanie Page scored 14 and seven points, respectively.

- Andover Central 61, KC Piper 43 – Andover Central controlled the first half in building a 29-14 lead and rolled to a 61-45 victory over KC Piper in the consolation game. The Lady Jaguars were led by Brooke Pedersen and Mason Stamp, who scored 15 points each. Piper was led by Jessica Wayne who scored 16, but the Lady Pirates connected on just 2-of-15 three-point attempts.

- McPherson 57, Topeka Hayden 40 – McPherson built a nine-point halftime lead and pulled away from Topeka Hayden for a 57-40 win. Sophomore Andrew Pyle scored 21 points to lead the Bullpups, while Kyler Kinnamon added 10. Hayden struggled from the field and especially three-point range in going only 2-of-17. Jacob Head led the Wildcats with 16 and Marcus Meier added 13.

- Paola 72, El Dorado 57 – Paola outscored El Dorado 19-11 in the third quarter to pull away for the third place trophy. Luke Wilson scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lead the Panthers. Sophomore Mason McDow added 13 and Justin Criddle chipped in 17. El Dorado was once again led by Travis House who scored 24 points, while Alec Hildreth added 22.

- Santa Fe Trail 58, Frontenac 54, OT – Santa Fe Trail rallied from down double digits in the second half to force overtime and outscored the Raiders 14-10 in the extra frame to claim the title. Shelby Dahl hit a half-court shot at the end of the third quarter to pull the Lady Chargers within 30-22 and spark the comeback. Dahl led Santa Fe Trail with 19 points, while Bailey Flora scored 18 and Taylor McCartney added 16 for Frontenac.
Consolation
- Holton 50, Burlington 33 - Holton doubled up Burlington 22-11 in the second half to claim the third place trophy with a 50-33 win. Krystie Miller scored 20 points to lead the Lady Wildcats. Burlington was led by Madison Stadel’s 13 points, but played without leading scorer Breanna Bluma, who has been battling a knee injury since the Wildcats’ Sub-State championship win.

- Eudora 71, Scott City 58 – Eudora, led by the talented Ballock brothers, claimed the school’s first state basketball title by halting Scott City’s run at a fourth straight state championship. The Cardinals built a 13-point lead at halftime before Scott City rallied to pull within 50-48 at the end of three quarters. Eudora would respond by finishing the game with a 21-10 final period to win. Freshman Mitchell Ballock led the Cardinals with 20 points, while his older brother Andrew contributed 19 in his final high school game. Austin Downing added 14 for Eudora. Scott City was led by Brett Meyer’s 22 points, while Trey O’Neil finished with 15.

- Andale 72, Concordia 66 – Andale built an 18-point lead after halftime, but had to hold off Concordia to claim third place. The Indians were led by Jeffery Ast, who scored 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting. Jason Hermreck added 16 points for the Indians which finished 22-3. Just like in their opening round win over Girard, Grant and Cooper Holmes again led Concordia with 27 and 26 points, respectively. Grant finished with 84 points during the three tournament games, while Cooper scored 79.

- Hesston 46, Lyons 36 – The Hesston Lady Swathers held off Central Kansas League rival Lyons 45-36 to claim the 3A title. After Lyons opened up an 11-7 lead in the first quarter, Hesston responded by outscoring the Lady Lions 26-13 in the second and third quarters combined. Cami Richardson led Hesston with 16 points, while Caylee Richardson added 11. Aubrey Hollinger scored 18 points to lead Lyons, which fell to the Lady Swathers 44-35 in their only other meeting this season in early January.

- Nemaha Valley 43, Council Grove 34 – After a slow start, Nemaha Valley outscored Council Grove 12-2 in the second quarter to lead 15-8 at halftime of the consolation game. The Lady Raiders would go on to outscore the Lady Braves 28-26 in the second half to claim third place. Jaci Swart led Nemaha Valley with 12 points, while Rachael Baumgartner chipped in 10. The Braves were led by Megan Poole, who scored 15 on 6-of-15 shooting. Nemaha Valley finished 18-of-32 from the free throw line, while Council Grove was 9-of-15.

- Hesston 59, Beloit 54 – Hesston followed up the girls’ state championship with a sweep of the 3A titles thanks to the boys’ 59-54 win over Beloit. The Swathers led by three with 1:30 remaining when Beloit’s Payton Vetter got a steal and hit a transition three to tie the game. Beloit would take a brief 1-point lead before Grant Raleigh put Hesston ahead for good with a three-pointer with 48 seconds remaining. Raleigh led the Swathers with 22 points, while Ryan Schadler scored 14. Vetter led Beloit with 19 and Bailey Vetter added 13.

- Nemaha Valley 57, Riverton 51 – Nemaha Valley and Riverton were tied after three quarters before the Raiders outscored the Rams 12-6 in the final period to claim third place. Caleb Meyer led Nemaha Valley with 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Justice McKernan added 15 points for the Raiders. Riverton was once again led by Landon North who scored 15, and Grant North’s 12.

- Central Plains 47, Jefferson Co. North 45 – This showdown between undefeated teams came right down to the wire as Central Plains’ Taylor Rolfs hit an open 15-footer off of an in-bounds play with 1.3 seconds left to propel the Oilers to the state title. Jefferson County North tried to hold for the last shot with the game tied at 45, but a turnover gave the ball back to the Oilers. Central Plains held for a final attempt which missed, but the rebound went out-of-bounds off of the Chargers setting up Rolfs’ heroic shot. In the final second, Jefferson County North’s Jacee Kramer’s half-court heave rimmed off ending the game. Kramer led all scorers with 20, while sophomore Reagan Phalen scored 17 for the Oilers and freshman Janae Ryan hit five three-pointers for her 15.
Consolation
- Washington County 61, Meade 58 – Washington County stormed back from a seven-point halftime deficit to claim third place with a 61-58 win over Meade. The Tigers trailed 29-22 at halftime, but outscored the Lady Buffaloes 39-29 in the second half. Erin Alexander scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Mandi Allerheiligen scored 20. Meade was led by Bailey Olvera who scored 16, while freshman Jaylin Stapleton added 10.

- St. John 71, Plainville 58 – The St. John Tigers completed a dominant unbeaten season with a second consecutive state championship after beating Plainville, 71-58. The Tigers lead was 31-28 at halftime and 55-50 at the end of three quarters, but St. John used a 16-8 final period to pull away. Zuriel Reyes scored 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 6-of-9 from three-point range. Dean Wade added 19 points for the Tigers. Plainville was led by Logan Frederking’s 19 points, while Hadley Gillum scored 14.
Consolation
- Olpe 61, St. Mary’s Colgan 39 – Olpe shot 68 percent in the first half in racing out to a 32-8 halftime lead and blowing out Colgan 61-39. The Panthers came out flat in shooting just 14 percent in the first half, but battled back to within 41-31 at the end of the third quarter before Olpe again took over. Joe Redeker scored 17 points to lead Olpe, while Bo Krueger added 16. Colgan was led by Austin Commons who score 12 and finished with 55 points in the three tournament games.

- Hoxie 71, Valley Heights 51 – The Hoxie Lady Indians won a third consecutive state title and their 73rd consecutive game with a 71-51 decision over Valley Heights. Hoxie led by 15 after the first quarter and by 25 later in the first half. Gabriel Spresser scored 23 and Carly Heim added 18 to lead the Lady Indians, while Natasha Allmer added 12. Brandi Jo Roepke scored 16 points for Valley Heights to run her tournament total to 55, while Sidney Blackburn added 13, and Lesley Frohberg 12.

- Osborne 48, St. Paul 40 – After being tied at 15 at halftime, St. Paul opened up a seven-point lead in the third quarter only to see Osborne come storming back to claim third place. The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Caitlyn Miller’s 21 points, while Jessica Princ added 12. St. Paul hit six, three-pointers in the game but it wasn’t enough. Josie Albertinit scored 10 to lead the Lady Indians.

- Marais des Cygnes Valley 50, Hoxie 36 – Marais des Cygnes Valley capped a perfect 26-0 season with a 50-6 win over Hoxie to claim the 1A-I state title. The Trojans controlled the game early on after a 17-9 first quarter, but Hoxie made a run in the third quarter to pull within a bucket. MdCV responded to the run with a 19-10 final quarter to pull away. Mark Price, a 6-foot-8 senior, led the Trojans with 13 points and ten rebounds. Jones, a 6-foot-6 senior, added 12 points along with 12 from Kaden Vanderpool. Hoxie was led by Kade Spresser who scored 14.

- Valley Heights 74, Spearville 54 – Valley Heights opened up a 23-14 lead on Spearville after one quarter before pulling away with a strong second half. The Mustangs outscored the Royal Lancers 41-28 in the second half. Elijah Smith led Valley Heights with 19 points, while Charles Musil added 18, Gage Woodyard 16, and Derek Trimble 12. Spearville was led by Nathan Stein’s 18 points and Kaden Stein’s 13.
CLASS 1A-II
GIRLS

- Baileyville B&B 59, Golden Plains 40 – Baileyville B&B added the girls’ 1A-II state title to their storybook final season after defeating Golden Plains 59-40. The Lady Falcons built a 16-point lead at halftime and led 48-20 after three quarters in claiming the title. B&B also won state volleyball and football titles last fall in what is the school’s final year before consolidation. Katie Huerter scored 19 points, Ashley Kramer added 17, and Lauren Sudbeck scored 12 for the Falcons. Golden Plains was led by Hailee Spresser’s 12 points. The Bulldogs scored 20 points in the fourth quarter; matching their total for the first three quarters.
Consolation
- Dighton 45, Bucklin 33 – Dighton outscored Bucklin 26-14 in the second half to claim the third place trophy. The Lady Hornets were led by Leslie Speer who scored 14, while Jordan Speer added 11 points. Morgan Hood led the Red Aces with 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting, including three three-point field goals.

- Beloit St. John’s-Tipton 60, Sharon Springs-Wallace County 58 – Beloit St. John’s-Tipton built a substantial lead and then held off Sharon Springs-Wallace County 60-58 to claim the state title. The Blujays led 36-19 at halftime and 48-32 after three quarters before the Wildcats mounted an amazing comeback. Wallace County actually took a 1-point lead with under three minutes remaining before St. John’s-Tipton was able to pull out the win. Trey Dubbert led the Blujays with 20 points, while Conner Eilert, Luke Eilert, and Parker Gates each added 10 points. Wallace County was led in scoring by Nate Klinge who scored a game-high 29.

- Baileyville B&B 55, Chetopa 36 – Baileyville B&B used a 32-19 second half to pull away from Chetopa and secure third place and a victory in the school’s final game before consolidation. Dustin Rottinghaus scored 22 points and Luke Holthaus added 20 for the Falcons. Chetopa was led by Brice Riddle, who scored 14 points.
