Why you chose the college you plan to attend: Loved the campus and the staff was just amazing. It felt like home.

Were you recruited to play other sports at the collegiate level: No

Notes / stats from high school career: 2012 6A state champion career passing yards leader at school: 2,856 yards and 20 TDs.

Favorite high school football memory:  Winning the 2012 state Championship and having the privilege to play with Andre Maloney.

Kpreps comment: After leading the Vikings to the 2012 6A state championship, Verdini returned with a solid senior season last fall. A.J. passed for 1,494 yards and nine touchdowns earning honorable mention All-Sunflower League at quarterback.
