The only new number one team in the girls rankings is in Class 6A where Maize and Wichita South have swapped the top two spots from a week ago. Wichita South fell to 5A No. 2 Kapaun Mt. Carmel, 55-39 last Tuesday. Also in this class, Washburn Rural jumps from No. 7 to No. 3 in this week's poll.

There were more shake ups on the boys side as there are three new top teams this week. Basehor-Linwood is the new No. 1 in Class 4A-I, moving up from the third slot last week. Previous 4A-I No. 1 KC Piper fell to No. 7 this week, while last week's No. 2 KC Sumner fell completely out of the top 10.

In Class 4A Division II, Andale and Scott City traded places as the No. 1 and No. 2 teams respectively. The Beavers lost to Pueblo East (CO), 69-51 in the Southwest Classic last Thursday.

Axtell, Class 1A Division II's defending champion, has had a rough start to the 2013-14 campaign. The Eagles dropped three games last week to 1A-I No. 3 Centralia (54-52), Linn (44-38), and Bishop Seabury (62-58). At 1-4, Axtell has fallen from No. 1 to No. 8 this week. Sharon Springs-Wallace Co. is the new No. 1 team in 1A-II.
