Last year's Class 4A runner-up is this year's top team in Class 5A. Topeka Highland Park, which didn't lose a game until falling to Ottawa in the 4A title game, comes in ahead of Lansing, Goddard Eisenhower, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, and Mill Valley. Class 5A should be highly competitive as Lansing, Kapaun, and Mill Valley were all semifinalists a year ago.
