Kpreps.com is pleased to officially announce that Lori Wood Habiger has been awarded the Grand Prize for the 2020 Kpreps Friday Night Photo Contest.
Lori’s winning photo captures Mill Valley’s Kendrick Jones hauling in a touchdown pass at the goal line in front of a St. Thomas Aquinas defender. The Jaguars went on to win the state semifinal showdown, 42-7, and would capture their second consecutive Class 5A state championship a week later.
“We continue to be impressed with the quality of photos we receive each season, and, despite the unprecedented season given the pandemic, 2020 was no exception,” Kpreps’ Managing Partner Matt Gilmore said. “Lori submitted fantastic photos all year in documenting Mill Valley’s incredible season, and this photo is one of many that stood out to our staff.”
“Selecting a winning photograph is among our most difficult tasks each season,” said Kpreps’ Managing Partner Andy Wachter. “Photographers across the state continue to impress us with their work and we believe their photos play such an important part in the quality of our coverage.”
Lori wins $500 cash for her 2020 winning photograph.

Kpreps Photo Contest is back! $500 grand prize again in 2021
The Kpreps Friday Night Photo Contest back again for the 2021 season. "We enjoy seeing photos from around the state each week and it really helps us with our coverage," said Kpreps' Managing Partner Matt Gilmore. "The thousands of photos we receive through the contest play an integral part in telling the complete story of high school football in our state."
This season, Kpreps will once again name a weekly winner whose winning photo will become eligible for a $500 grand prize. Weekly winners will be featured on the site or on social media.
Submitting Your Photos
To submit your photos, use the upload form on at kpreps.com/kansas/photos/. If you experience any issues with the form, you can also email your photos to KprepsPhotos@gmail.com or photos@kpreps.com. Be sure to include your name and information about the game you photographed.
Contest Rules, Terms, and Conditions
Photos submitted must be accompanied with the photographer's name, email address, city, and phone number. Complete information is required to qualify for prizes. Contestants give Kpreps.com permission to contact them regarding more detailed information about their submissions.
No artwork, paintings, or enhanced images will be eligible.
No families, relatives, employees, or freelance photographers of Kpreps.com are eligible to win.
