Name:   Ethan Loder

High School: Smoky Valley High School

Position in high school: Quarterback/Linebacker

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 195

College you plan to attend: Hutchinson Community College

Scholarship / Walk-on: Scholarship

Planned position in college: Quarterback

Other colleges recruited you or showed interest: Emporia State, NW Missouri State, Garden City Community College

Why you chose the college you plan to attend: Hutch CC has a great atmosphere, great facilities, great coaching staff, and seems like a great fit for me.

Were you recruited to play other sports at the collegiate level: I was recruited because I showed great talent and leadership at the high school level.

Notes / stats from high school career: 575 passing yards with 6 TDs and 150 rushing yards with 4 TDs in the 2 ½ games I played in due to injury senior year, All-League quarterback honors Junior year, 2 year Varsity starter, and Senior Captain.

Favorite high school football memory: The opportunities, as a whole, God has given me to participate in this great sport.

Kpreps comment: Loder returned from injury late in the season to quarterback the Vikings. Only a heartbreaking 49-42, double-overtime loss to Abilene kept the 7-2 Vikings out of the playoffs. Loder passed for nearly 600 yards in the final three games after returning to the field. He has good size, arm strength, and accuracy and can be a good QB prospect after developing at the junior college level.

Editor's Note: It is important to remember that all college commitments are verbal and not truly finalized until the student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent on February 5th.
