Why you chose the college you plan to attend: The coaches were very upfront and passionate about the turnaround. I felt very comfortable with staff and I feel I can come in and make an immediate impact.

Notes / stats from high school career: 150 tackles, 12 sacks, 2INT, 1TD

Favorite high school football memory: My favorite memory was becoming the winningest class ever at Mulvane and making the final four, which no other Mulvane team had done.

Kpreps comment: Haynes had a solid year for a Mulvane defense that was perhaps a bit overlooked until consecutive playoff shutouts over Maize South and Buhler.  Zach registered 72 tackles and had seven sacks from his outside linebacker position.  He also recorded an interception.  The Wildcats reached the 4A state semifinals completing on of the best seasons in school history.
