Why you chose the college you plan to attend: Great atmosphere. The coaches and players made me feel like I was already part of the team.

Were you recruited to play other sports at the collegiate level: Yes, wrestling.

Notes / stats from high school career:

2011: 2nd Team All-League DB

2012: 1st Team All-League DB; 4A All-State DB; 107 tackles and 4 interceptions.

2013 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.

Favorite high school football memory: Going to our team camps in the summer with my team.

Kpreps comment: Fennewald was a Kpreps 4A All-State selection in the defensive backfield after helping Mulvane to the best season in school history.  Kolby registered 107 tackles (72 solo), picked off four passes, and recovered three fumbles for a Wildcat defense that surrendered only 14 points per game and posted three shutouts.  Mulvane used its defense to shutout Maize South and Buhler in the 4A playoffs en route to a state semifinal appearance where the Wildcats fell to eventual champion Holton.

 

It's important to remember that all college commitments are verbal and not truly finalized until the student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent on February 6th.
