Name: Austin Lingenfelter
High School: Hartford High School
Position in high school: Line/Center
Height: 5’9
Weight: 250
College you plan to attend: Independence Community College
Scholarship / Walk-on: Scholarship
Planned position in college: Center
Other colleges recruited you or showed interest: Friends and Ottawa
Why you chose the college you plan to attend: I am from a very small town and their campus is small so it felt comfortable for me.
Were you recruited to play other sports at the collegiate level: No
Notes / stats from high school career: I had never played center before my senior year. Plus I played 8 man football throughout junior high and high school.
Favorite high school football memory: Against Burlingame this season we were down by a touchdown with 43 seconds left. We ended up driving the field and scoring with 2 seconds left, then we got the 2 point conversion and we won.
Kpreps comment: Lingenfelter was a Kpreps Honorable Mention All-District selection on the offensive line last fall for the Jaguars. Austin was the leader of the Hartford offensive line last fall after switching to center and will look to continue make an impact for the ICC Pirates.

Editor's Note: It is important to remember that all college commitments are verbal and not truly finalized until the student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent on February 5th.
