Kpreps.com is pleased to officially announce that Dari Hilbert has been named the Grand Prize for the 2022 Kpreps Friday Night Photo Contest.
Dari’s winning photo captures the Nemaha Central Thunder running on the field through a tunnel of fans and supporters as they prepare to take on Big 7 Conference rival Sabetha last season. Nemaha Central went on to defeat the Blue Jays, 24-7 that night. The two teams met again in the state semifinals later in the season with the Thunder winning 30-14. Nemaha Central would capture the Class 2A state championship a week later with a 33-17 victory over Kingman.
“Selecting a grand prize-winning photo is one of the most difficult things we do each season,” Kpreps’ Managing Partner Matt Gilmore said. “We felt that Dari’s photo captures the incredible support athletes and schools receive from many of our small towns and communities across Kansas. It also serves as a reminder of the impact and the inherent responsibility our athletes have as role models for the younger kids in the community who you see lining the sides of the tunnel on the field.”
Dari wins $500 for her 2022 winning photograph.

Kpreps Photo Contest is back! $500 grand prize again in 2023
The Kpreps Friday Night Photo Contest back again for the 2023 season. "We enjoy seeing photos from around the state each week and it really helps to enhance our coverage," said Kpreps' Managing Partner Matt Gilmore. "The thousands of photos we receive through the contest play an important role in completing the story of each high school football season."
Kpreps will once again feature photo submissions throughout the season on our social media platforms and as part of our feature content. All photos entered are become eligible for a $500 grand prize.
Submitting Your Photos
To submit your photos, use the upload form on at kpreps.com/kansas/photos/. If you experience any issues with the form, you can also email your photos to KprepsPhotos@gmail.com or photos@kpreps.com. Be sure to include your name and information about the game you photographed.
Contest Rules, Terms, and Conditions
Photos submitted must be accompanied with the photographer's name, email address, city, and phone number. Complete information is required to qualify for prizes. Contestants give Kpreps.com permission to contact them regarding more detailed information about their submissions.
No artwork, paintings, or enhanced images will be eligible.
No families, relatives, employees, or freelance photographers of Kpreps.com are eligible to win.
