The Central Plains Oilers used another dominating defensive performance on Saturday in beating Solomon, 52-6. The Oilers held Solomon to minus-23 yards on 24 plays. For the season, Central Plains allowed 34 total points.

Solomon (11-1) will make the first state title game appearance in school history when the Gorillas take on unbeaten Central Plains (12-0) on Saturday in Newton. Central Plains has given up only 28 points all season.
