Derby edges SM East with late score, wins 6A 28-21
The Derby Panthers won their first state football title since 1994, 28-21 over Shawnee Mission East. Travis Young returned a punt 35 yards deep into Lancer territory to set up the winning score with just over two minutes remaining.
