PSU Athletics and Team Kong have created a new partnership to help Gorilla fans stay engaged with the Pitt State football team during the 2013 season.
The partnership will provide new weekly podcasts on both pittstategorillas.com and teamkong.com, including weekly interviews with members of the Pitt State football coaching staff as well as weekly features on Gorilla players.
Former longtime voice of the Gorillas Tom Van Hoy will be conducting the interviews. "I’m looking forward to interacting weekly with Pitt State coaches and players in a forum that provides an opportunity to inform and educate Pitt State football fans,” Van Hoy said. “Plus, get an in-depth inside perspective that adds to the overall understanding and enjoyment of the game.”
New programming will begin on both sites beginning next week.
Founded in late 2000, Teamkong is beginning its 13th season as the fan site for Gorilla Football. Editor Wayne Gilmore is excited about the partnership with Pitt State. “This agreement will allow Teamkong to improve upon our promotion of PSU Athletics through our website and social media partners .”
