Kpreps comment:  One of the state’s top players, Wood put up incredible numbers in his first season as the feature ball carrier.  Tanner rushed for 2,709 yards and 39 touchdowns including a state-record 659-yard performance against Chaparral where he scored nine touchdowns.  He is a two-time Kpreps All-State selection, once as a linebacker in 2011 and as a running back in 2012. He registered over 100 tackles on defense this past fall and over 250 in his career.  He finished his career with 3,363 rushing yards, and 1,664 yards passing.

It's important to remember that all college commitments are verbal and not truly finalized until the student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent on February 6th.
