It certainly hasn't taken John Brown long to get noticed in the desert.

The rookie receiver – taken by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round despite his small stature and small-school pedigree – has created quite a buzz early this NFL season by hauling in four game-winning touchdown catches for the team with the best record in the league.

But when he does it in diving fashion on a 48-yard heave from backup quarterback Drew Stanton and then tops it off with a flailing touchdown dance, it becomes immortalized.

Brown's catch on Sunday – which spurred the Cardinals (8-1) past the St. Louis Rams – landed on regional covers of this week's Sports Illustrated edition. The cover story refers to Arizona's ability to keep winning despite a multitude of injuries that have plagued the team. Brown's catch came just after starting quarterback Carson Palmer was carted off the field with a torn ACL.

Brown has 29 catches for 399 yards and five scores so far this season and has game-winning grabs against the Chargers, 49ers, Eagles and Rams. He ended his three-year career at Pittsburg State as the school's all-time leading receiver with 185 catches for 3,387 yards and 34 touchdowns.
