Class 6A
There are two new changes in this week’s Class 6A poll as both No. 3 Olathe North and No. 5 Olathe South were eliminated last week. In addition, we will have a new champion this season in Class 6A as Gardner-Edgerton eliminated Blue Valley Northwest, 28-19. Class 5A
Hutchinson re-enters the poll this week after eliminating then No. 4 Bishop Carroll, 14-7. The Salthawks will now travel to top-ranked Maize in a rematch of the regular-season game won by the Eagles, 41-13. Find out this week’s matchup and last week’s results at the link below.
Class 4A
Four of the top five teams in Class 4A advanced to the Sectional round with victories last week. Fifth-ranked Chanute was beaten by K.C. Piper, 48-47, in double overtime. Find out this week’s matchup and last week’s results at the link below.
Class 3A
The top five in Class 3A remained the same this week as all five advanced to the state quarterfinals. No. 3 Rock Creek advanced with a 21-11 win over Hesston, while No. 4 Topeka Hayden rallied to top previously-unbeaten Wellsville, 22-19. Check out the remainder of this week’s poll at the link below.
Class 2A
Beloit enters the poll this week at No. 5 after the Trojans dominant win over Norton, 50-14. In last week’s Regional round, Humboldt avenged a regular-season loss to Osage City by knocking off the fifth-ranked Indians, 26-21. Find out the remainder of the 2A poll at the link below.
Class 1A
Wabaunsee enters the poll this week as last week’s No. 5 Troy fell 26-0 at St. Marys. There are several high-profile matchups this week highlighted by No. 1 Centralia hosting No. 2 Olpe and No. 3 St. Marys traveling to take on No. 4 St. Mary’s Colgan.
Class 8M-I
The highlighted Regional showdown from last week saw Chase County controlling the second half to win at No. 3 South Sumner County. The Bulldogs now will take on No. 2 Little River this week. A new team enters the poll this week as we prepare for several great games in the quarterfinals.
Class 8M-II
Once again there are no changes in this week’s Eight-Man, Division II poll with all five ranked teams advancing to the Sectional round with comfortable second-round wins. This week, third-ranked Victoria will host No. 4 Thunder Ridge in one of the marque games in the state. Find out of the Regional results and the quarterfinal matchups at the link below.
Class 6-Man
We have reached the sectional round of the inaugural KSHSAA 6-Man playoffs. Half of the eight remaining teams are new to 6-man football. There will be a new champion as Natoma was eliminated last week by top-ranked Cunningham. All four quarterfinal matchups are intriguing this week, with No. 5 Northern Valley’s trip to No. 2 Ashland highlighting the schedule.
