So...what is the Kansas City Gorilla Club?
The Kansas City Gorilla Club is a booster club for Pittsburg State University athletic programs and University promoter in the Greater Kansas City area. Members do not have to be alumni or even from Kansas City. The only requirement for membership is that you be a "fan" of Pittsburg State.
The Club was formed in 1992 by a very small group of former Pittsburg State athletes. The Club donates to the University by way of Endowments, Mini-grants and Scholarships. These donations are made possible by memberships, tailgates and annual dinner/auction.
An Executive Committee meets as needed and leads the Club. The Club is always open to new ideas and activities to support the University. New Gorillas are welcome and highly encouraged to get involved! So tell your friends and check us out.
Annual membership is $25 individual/$50 family. Membership forms are available at all Club events or please contact:

This is the Club's largest fundraiser. Silent auction during dinner and Live auction following. Casual attire. Pittsburg State representatives & coaches usually attend to update/answer questions on PSU happenings. Truely a wonderful evening for Gorilla fans!

""Once a Gorilla Always a Gorilla" rang true again at our Annual Fund Raiser, our dinner & auction held Aug. 24, 2013. The generosity of donors allowed us to have a total of 219 items in the live and silent auctions! That combined with the Gorilla competitive spirit translated to $8700.00 from auction items! A big THANK YOU to both the donors and the bidders. Another thank you to PSU Pres. Dr. Steve Scott and A.D. Jim Johnson for attending and updating our group on all the positive new things happening at Pitt State. That evening our club made a donation of $5000.00 to Mr. Johnson for the K.C. Gorilla Club Endowment Fund. Our grand total of all donations to PSU since our inception is $180,250.00.

Tailgates
Members eat and drink FREE at all home football games. The Club has a designated tailgate area in the shelter house east of Carnie Smith Stadium. Non-members are welcome for a small charge at the door.
Socials
Non-Members welcome! Mingle, visit with fellow Gorillas and enjoy good food & cold beverages. Socials are 6:30pm -8pm held at Johnny's (13131 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Shawnee, KS). 2014 Schedule: Sept 4, Sept 18, Oct 2, Oct 16, Nov 6.
Annual Basketball Bus Trip
Saturday, March 1, 2014. Pickup/Drop off locations: 10:30am Johnny's (Shm Pkwy & Pflumm), Hwy 69 & 151st and Louisburg. RSVP: kcgorillaclub@outlook.com
Pittsburg road trip to watch men's and women's basketball teams. Cost is usually $25/person, plus purchase of game ticket. Pichler's Chicken Annie's dinner and beverages are included.

KC Gorilla Club member Casey Casebolt sends emails updating on PSU happenings on and off the field/court. It's "nothing fancy" but it is a great way to keep up with what is going on. Be sure to check the TK Forum and TK Facebook for Club News/Updates.
